The Eastbay Expressway provides the primary logistics artery for Gwadar Port by directly connecting terminal operations to the Makran Coastal Highway and the Gwadar Free Zone. The expressway eliminates conflicting local traffic movements and reduces cargo evacuation bottlenecks, enabling smoother shipping logistics and responsive hinterland connectivity. TCI provided resident supervision, technical vetting, and construction assurance — ensuring geometric accuracy, pavement performance, and the long-term durability of all bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and coastal protection segments. Completed in 2022 under CPEC, the expressway has accelerated Gwadar’s transition toward becoming a regional transshipment gateway.
