Project Summary

The Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Corridor Development Program is strengthening Pakistan’s main north–south economic artery by upgrading 208 km of the N-55 corridor — the shortest connection between Karachi and Peshawar along the right bank of the Indus. The program includes dualization of Petaro–Sehwan (128 km) and Ratodero–Shikarpur (44 km) and rehabilitation of Dara Adam Khel–Peshawar (36 km) with the introduction of new safety infrastructure, intersections, and drainage systems to improve flood resilience. As part of this ADB-funded initiative, TCI is responsible for design review, compliance oversight, environmental and social safeguards monitoring, and high-quality construction supervision — facilitating efficient freight mobility and advancing Pakistan’s regional trade integration with China and Central Asian markets.
