Detailed description of the project:

Assignment consists of construction Supervision of a dedicated 1,030,000 TEUs container terminal with transhipment terminal development. Length of breakwater, groynes and dikes are 800m 850m & 1800m respectively. Project will includes 11 berths terminal complex enclosed by the breakwater. The work consists of dredging of approach channel & basin; Construction of Breakwaters & Sand Dike, Construction of Container Terminal including 4 berths Quay wall. Procurement & alignment of Navigational Aids for the new channel.

Supervision and Project Management, including inspection, guidance, approval and certification of invoice submitted by contractors, and technical services connected with the project implementation in accordance with contract documents.

Description of services provided by TCI:

Supervision and Project Management, including inspection, vetting designs, guidance approval and certification of invoices by the Contractor and technical services related to the implementation of marine protection works in all respects.

Work also included construction supervision of marine protection works i/c land and water bound equipment compliance, checking loading / unloading facilities, scrutiny of contractors schedule with working seasons (SW & NE monsoon), placement of material and tolerances and limiting wave conditions, construction risks and safety issues, environmental consideration (current, wave and wind), ground water conditions and prevention of settlements, foundation construction, bed and bank protection works, sea wall casting, practical measurement, quality control, payment techniques, alignment and setting out procedures. Marine civil works for construction of  marine protection works.

Detailed narrative description of the project
Assignment consists of detailed design, drawings & tender documents for construction of a dedicated 3.1 million TEUs container terminal with transshipment handling facility and detailed planning and design of breakwater, groynes and sand dikes & reconstruction works. Length of breakwater, groynes and dikes are 800m 850m & 1800m respectively. Project includes Layout & master planning of 10 berths terminal complex enclosed by the breakwaters. The work consists of development of plans, design & preparation of tender documents including drawings for dredging of approach channel & basin; detailed design of Breakwaters & Sand Dike, detailed design of Container Terminal including 4 berths Quay wall, procurement & alignment of Navigational Aids for the new channel. It also includes Review of Feasibility Study and Collection of field data for Hydraulic studies, field Investigation & surveys, Mathematical Model works etc.

Detailed description of actual services provided by the Company:
Works involves site selection, planning & layout detailed design of container terminal comprising of 4 berths, (1500 m length and 18.0 m design depth), of about 3.1 million TEUs capacity as a regional transit and transshipment hub inclusive of Numerical Modeling /simulation, Container handling equipment study, Navigational aspects, Berthing of large vessels, Water front (structural) design of  quay wall, Container stacking yard, operational buildings & services,  Economic & financial analysis, Quay Wall design includes 2 m dia bored Rcc piles with steel casing with clutch system connections, tie rods and anchor piles for stability support and fitted with bollards & fenders etc. Also detailed design of Oyster Rock Breakwater, new Manora Breakwater and Keamari Groyne Breakwater. Breakwater design include Concrete Armour Units CORE-LOCTM, design of primary under layer armour, breakwater core, filter layers-Geotextile, toe embankment structure, wave return wall, specification for durable & quality controlled concrete production for primary armour, designed rock gradation & placement methods etc. Collection, analysis of coastal hydraulic data, use of fresh field investigation data (Geotechnical & hydrographic).

Work involves Site Selection, Planning & Layout design of a dedicated container Terminal of about 350,000 TEUs capacity with  Transshipment Facilities, inclusive of Numerical Modeling /simulation, container handling equipment study, Navigational aspects, Berthing of large vessels, water front (structural) design of  quay wall, container stacking yard, amenity Buildings & services,  Economic & financial analysis. Work also included preliminary design of Manora Breakwater and its possible extension to south side. Rigorous analysis of coastal hydraulic data, use of fresh field investigation data (Geotechnical & hydrographic), was also undertaken.

Detailed narrative description of the project
Assignment consists of planning & preliminary design of a dedicated 350,000 TEU Container Terminal with a Transshipment Terminal Development and Detailed Planning and Re-Design of Manora Breakwater Reconstruction works. The scope of services is sub-divided into sections concerning Trade & vessel forecast, Regional development services, domestic potential port operations, channel design / hydraulic studies (including field data acquisition and mathematical modelling with Navigational Studies), dredging, environment / social aspects, economics and financial analysis and procurement advice.
